With this product of proximity and environmental value, plugs, insulation for construction and some bee hives are manufactured.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/golf.lynkoo.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/pelada-suro-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"542\" height=\"405\"><br \/>\nThe cork oak takes approximately 50 years to grow enough to be able to make the first cork extraction. Then it can be peeled every 14 years.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/golf.lynkoo.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/pelada-suro-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"543\" height=\"370\"><br \/>\nIn Llofriu, every June, they celebrate the Cork Peel Festival and in the Cork Museum of Palafrugell the culture and natural heritage of the world of cork in Catalonia is well documented.
